Joy.....

Earlier this week I  posted on Facebook that my word for 2018 would be Joy. This is my second year doing this kind of thing, being prompted by paper crafting and inspiration giver Cori Spieker. She does this every year, and builds on the word as the year progresses. Getting back to my post on Facebook, I have selected Joy for this year. Why Joy ask? It is a concerted effort to force the negativity out of my life and to purposefully seek Joy, and live a joy filled life. My friend responded to that Facebook post with 'Jesus first, others second, you last'. Very wise words from a very wise lady. Last year and the year before that my daily life was riddled with health issues, both physical and mental. My Facebook posts over the past two years were either of me being in the hospital, being sick, or something going wrong... I was a NEGATIVE NELLIE. Yes, I do live in the real world and I can't be Miss Mary Sunshine all the time and life happens, but my mission this year is to find the joy in the every day and spread it, live it, post it, take pictures of it.... TO LIVE IT! In the next few weeks before the New Year I will be posting some resources on finding YOUR word. So thank you for checking out this new faith based blog and feel free to share!
